Head of Institutional Fundraising - Private Equity

About the role

We are looking for a senior fundraising leader to drive institutional capital formation for our private equity funds across the GCC and wider MENA region. Based in Manama’s financial district, you will work at the centre of a regional hub with direct access to sovereign wealth funds, government‑linked investors and leading family offices.

Key responsibilities

• Own the fundraising strategy and execution for current and future private equity vintages targeting GCC and MENA institutional LPs.
• Lead the full fundraising cycle, including target mapping, roadshows, DDQ/RFP processes, negotiations and final close execution.
• Originate, build and deepen relationships with sovereign wealth funds, pensions, government‑linked entities, endowments, insurance pools and family offices.
• Manage fund positioning, marketing materials, LP communications, advisory board engagement and co‑investment pipelines.
• Advise on fund terms, structures, Islamic finance considerations and LP sequencing using real‑time market intelligence.

Required profile

• 12–18 years of experience in private equity fundraising or institutional investor relations, primarily in GCC/MENA.
• Proven track record of raising USD 300m–1bn+ across fund cycles, including originating capital from new relationships.
• Extensive institutional network across GCC sovereign wealth funds, regional and global pensions, government‑linked vehicles and sophisticated family offices.
• Strong understanding of private equity fund structures, economics, co‑invest mechanics and regional regulatory frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and/or CAIA strongly preferred. Arabic language skills are a meaningful advantage.
