Transformer Technician – Power & High‑Voltage Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking experienced Transformer Technicians to join a reputable energy company operating in Bahrain. The role involves maintaining and testing power transformers and reactors up to 220 kV, ensuring reliable operation of high‑voltage equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine testing, diagnostics and calibration of power transformers and reactors.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on 220 kV and 66 kV equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Conduct high‑voltage safety checks and adhere to all safety protocols.
• Document maintenance activities and report any anomalies.

Required profile

• Diploma or ITI qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience with power transformer and reactor maintenance.
• Proven experience with interconnected transformers (ICT) up to 220 kV.
• Ability to work on‑site in Bahrain and follow strict safety standards.
