About the role
The Inventory Control Assistant supports daily inventory operations by accurately scanning and recording merchandise. You will work with portable data devices to keep stock information up‑to‑date and ensure the warehouse remains organized.
Key responsibilities
- Scan item barcodes using PDD devices, verify quantities and locations, and update the inventory system.
- Complete assigned inventory bins according to the daily plan, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Maintain high accuracy by re‑checking discrepancies and reporting damaged or missing items.
- Operate PDT/scanning devices responsibly and report any technical issues promptly.
- Prioritize tasks to meet productivity targets while preserving accuracy, especially during peak counting periods.
- Follow safety, cleanliness, and confidentiality guidelines in the work area.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 0–2 years of experience in inventory or warehouse environments.
Required skills
- PDD Portable Data Device operation.
- Barcode scanners.
- RF scanners.
- Inventory management systems.
