Assistant Spa & Recreation Manager

About the role

As the Assistant Spa & Recreation Manager at Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain you will oversee the daily operations of the Spa, Fitness Center and all recreation facilities, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery. You will lead, motivate and develop a dedicated team while driving revenue and enhancing the guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Spa, Fitness Center and recreation areas, ensuring compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Lead, recruit, train, schedule and evaluate the Spa and Recreation team.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets, monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profit targets.
• Drive revenue through upselling treatments, retail products, fitness memberships and exclusive leisure packages.
• Develop and implement culturally inspired recreational programs and wellness activities.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate with Raffles Butlers, Engineering, Food & Beverage and other departments to ensure seamless guest journeys.
• Manage inventory, supplies and equipment maintenance for all Spa and Recreation areas.
• Maintain operational logs, prepare reports and ensure accurate departmental records.
• Ensure services consistently meet Forbes 5‑star service behaviours and LQA operational standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in Spa, Recreation or Leisure operations within a luxury hotel or resort.
• At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
• Proven experience in a 5‑star luxury property is mandatory.
