Electrical Engineer – Interior Fit‑out & MEP Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the planning, execution and hand‑over of electrical systems for interior fit‑out and MEP construction projects. The role involves supervising installations, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with specifications, safety standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all electrical installation activities for fit‑out projects.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs and shop drawings.
• Coordinate electrical works with architectural, civil, mechanical and interior fit‑out teams.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, local authority regulations and electrical standards.
• Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed according to schedule.
• Supervise installation of lighting, small power, distribution boards, cable containment, earthing, lightning protection, emergency lighting and low‑current (ELV) systems.
• Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks and ensure workmanship follows approved shop drawings.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities, prepare reports and support final hand‑over.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, contractors and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Attend project coordination and progress meetings, review and approve material submittals.
• Prepare material take‑offs, monitor consumption, assist with variation orders and cost estimates.
• Ensure health, safety and quality compliance, conduct risk assessments and maintain project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5‑10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial or retail fit‑out projects.
• Gulf experience preferred.
