Network Engineer & Telecommunications Specialist

About the role

We are looking for technically skilled, analytical, and solutions‑oriented professionals to design, implement, maintain, monitor, and optimise our network and telecommunications infrastructure. The role works closely with IT, engineering, operations, security, vendors and other technical teams to ensure reliable, secure and efficient connectivity.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement and maintain network and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Monitor performance, availability, capacity and overall health of networks and telecom services.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, wireless equipment, VPNs, gateways and related devices.
• Support voice and data networks, transmission systems and connectivity services.
• Troubleshoot outages, connectivity issues, performance problems and infrastructure faults.
• Plan and execute upgrades, expansions, migrations and installation projects.
• Coordinate with telecom providers, equipment vendors and contractors.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, documentation and asset records.
• Implement security controls, segmentation and monitoring for network protection.
• Assist with disaster recovery, redundancy and business continuity requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on problem solving.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple technical teams.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging networking and telecommunications technologies.
