About the role
We are looking for a reliable, customer‑focused Desktop Support Engineer (L1) to deliver on‑site, on‑demand IT support in Manama, Bahrain. This freelance assignment is ideal for IT professionals who prefer flexible, project‑based work and have solid experience with Windows desktops and peripherals.
Key responsibilities
- Provide on‑site desktop and end‑user support, handling break‑fix incidents and service requests.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, deploy and replace PCs, laptops, printers and other peripherals.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting (LAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN) and support device refreshes.
- Coordinate with remote support and infrastructure teams as needed.
- Document all tasks, incidents and resolutions accurately.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of desktop/EUC or IT support experience.
- Proven ability to work independently on dispatch assignments.
- Experience in enterprise or corporate IT environments.
- Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing systems.
Required skills
- Windows 10/11 administration and troubleshooting
- Hardware and peripheral support
- Desktop/laptop deployment and imaging
- Basic networking (LAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN)
- Active Directory
- Microsoft Intune
- SCCM / Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
- BitLocker administration
