Production Engineer – Sheet Metal Fabrication

About the role

Havelock One Interiors is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to lead day‑to‑day manufacturing activities in its Askar workshop. You will work closely with supervisors and team leads to ensure efficient production of bespoke metal joinery and interior fittings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily production operations, coordinating a team of 50‑60 fabrication and welding professionals.
• Monitor and adjust production schedules to meet project deadlines.
• Supervise a dedicated group of 20 fabricators and welders, ensuring quality and safety standards.
• Produce hand‑sketches for custom metal detailing.
• Maintain and optimise sheet‑metal machinery, including laser cutters, press brakes, and rolling equipment.
• Implement 5S principles to keep the workshop organised and efficient.
• Enforce PPE compliance and discipline among workers.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the sheet‑metal fabrication industry.
• Strong knowledge of sheet‑metal machinery and processes such as laser cutting, press brake, rolling, MIG/TIG welding, and related fabrication tools.
• Proven experience in metal interior fabrication.
