SCADA Engineer (Industrial Automation)

About the role

We are looking for a SCADA Engineer to join our project teams, reporting to the Project or Department Manager. The role involves designing, documenting, integrating and commissioning SCADA solutions for industrial customers, primarily in the oil & gas, water transmission and utility sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and control project software documentation, including revisions, quality checks and transmittals.
• Develop RTU logic based on control narratives and system philosophies.
• Design software applications to meet customer requirements and support integration and testing.
• Assist Lead Design engineers with detailed engineering, software configuration and pre‑FAT/FAT/IFAT testing.
• Track scope deviations, BOM variations and manage engineering team man‑hours efficiently.
• Perform on‑site commissioning and support post‑installation activities.

Required profile

• B.E. or B.Tech. in Instrumentation or Control Systems Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in SCADA engineering, preferably in oil & gas or related utilities.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA domain, telemetry and PLC systems.

Required skills

• SCADA system engineering and RTU logic development.
• PLC programming (IEC 61131‑3).
• Communication protocols: TCP/IP, Serial, Modbus, DNP3, HART, OPC 2.0, IEC 61850, Profibus, Profinet, Foundation Fieldbus.
• Experience with Yokogawa CI Server, Fast Tools, STARDOM.
• Networking configuration and administration.
• Microsoft OS system administration and Office suite.
• Commissioning of industrial automation systems.
