Service Engineer – Plant Information Management System (PIMS)

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking a Service Engineer to provide technical support for its Plant Information Management System (PIMS) suite. The role involves rapid response to customer inquiries, troubleshooting, configuration, upgrades, migrations and installations of advanced software packages.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests within 10 minutes and take ownership of problem resolution.
• Support PIMS applications such as Exaquantum, Exaplog, Exapilot, Exaopc and related MES products.
• Perform site visits (10‑25 short trips per year) for installations, upgrades and customer training.
• Provide technical guidance to lower‑level engineers, programmers and technicians.
• Collaborate with managers, account executives and engineers on sales proposals, estimates and implementation workflows.
• Evaluate and apply engineering techniques to ensure customer requirements are met.

Required profile

• Degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with distributed control systems and process‑industry environments.
• Enthusiastic attitude toward helping end users and solving technical problems.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PIMS software: Exaquantum, Exaplog, Exapilot, Exaopc.
• Knowledge of OSI‑PI and Honeywell Dynamo (advantage).
• Strong troubleshooting, configuration, upgrade and migration capabilities.
• Ability to conduct installations and provide on‑site technical support.
