Treasury Director

About the role

Responsible for day‑to‑day management of money‑market, foreign‑exchange and capital‑market operations in line with approved policies and guidelines. The role supports relationship management for retail, corporate and institutional clients and drives new‑business development, while actively participating in systems implementation and product development.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head of Treasury in executing ALM/Fixed Income strategies and FX/crypto trading.
• Network with counterparties, liquidity providers and brokers, and develop new client contacts to grow the asset‑liability base.
• Maintain liquidity within parameters set by senior management and ensure all Treasury limits are respected.
• Execute transactions using a risk/return approach and identify new‑business opportunities.
• Prepare, update and reconcile Treasury and ALCO reports.
• Monitor political, economic and market risks and assess their impact on Treasury activities.
• Participate actively in the implementation and enhancement of Treasury systems (e.g., Murex, Calypso).
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Head of Treasury or senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field; Master’s/MBA preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CTP or ACI Dealing Certificate are highly desirable.
• 8–10 years of progressive experience in bank Treasury, Global Markets or ALM.
• Proven track record in money‑market, FX and Fixed‑Income/Capital‑Markets transaction processing.
• Hands‑on experience with Treasury system implementation, migration or upgrade (e.g., Murex, Calypso).
• Strong expertise in liquidity management, regulatory metrics (LCR, NSFR) and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Deep knowledge of compliance with regulatory, credit‑risk and Basel frameworks.
• Excellent quantitative, analytical and decision‑making skills under volatile market conditions.
