Hostess – Guest Service

About the role

The Hostess will be the first point of contact for guests at La Med Restaurant, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth seating experience. This full‑time, on‑site position supports the dining team by maintaining a clean, organized environment and delivering courteous service.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, determine party size and escort them to appropriate tables.
• Pull out chairs, place clean menus, and ensure each setting includes napkins, silverware and any required items.
• Arrange tables and seating for groups with special needs.
• Check menus for cleanliness and current versions.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift, following clean‑as‑you‑go procedures.
• Monitor dining room for seating availability, safety and guest well‑being.
• Follow company safety, security and uniform policies.
• Answer telephone calls using professional etiquette.
• Support team goals and respond to employee concerns.
• Stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience or specific licenses needed.
