Accountant – Bahrain (2+ years experience)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our growing team in Bahrain. The role involves managing daily accounting tasks, supporting payroll, VAT compliance and assisting project‑related financial activities. You will work closely with management and project teams to ensure accurate financial operations and contribute to the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting and bookkeeping activities
• Prepare invoices, payment records, financial statements and reports
• Process payroll and maintain employee salary records
• Monitor company expenses, budgets and project costs
• Maintain accurate accounting entries using Tally ERP
• Assist with VAT documentation and compliance procedures
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors and internal departments regarding payments and documentation
• Support project estimation, BOQ preparation and quantity take‑off activities when required
• Organise financial records and ensure proper documentation
• Prepare reports for management and assist during audits

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in Bahrain
• Good working knowledge of Tally ERP
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong understanding of accounting processes, payroll, invoicing, VAT and financial reporting
• Experience in construction or interior fit‑out industry is an advantage
• Familiarity with BOQ preparation, estimation and project coordination preferred
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
