Asset Protection & Safety Manager

About the role

The Asset Protection & Safety Manager supports Exchange management in designing, implementing and evaluating loss‑prevention programs that cover safety, physical security and operational reviews. This role also serves as a collateral Safety Manager, ensuring a safe environment for associates and patrons while overseeing investigations and security systems.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and evaluate loss‑prevention, asset‑protection and safety programs.
• Manage internal and external investigations of theft, fraud, accidents, workplace violence and unethical conduct.
• Oversee overnight surveillance, covert camera installations and interviews of dishonest associates, vendors and contractors.
• Administer the Navy Occupational Safety and Health and Fire Prevention Program and ensure compliance with Department of Navy codes.
• Hire, train, mentor and supervise loss‑prevention and safety staff.
• Conduct monthly operational reviews and audits for cash offices, vending, safety and other areas.
• Collaborate with General Managers to correct deficiencies and improve compliance.
• Develop shrink committees and action plans to reduce inventory loss.
• Manage physical‑security systems including CCTV, EAS, alarms and key‑control.
• Participate in fiscal year‑end inventory processes and report irregularities.
• Utilize web‑based case‑management and POS exception reporting tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience in loss‑prevention, safety management and investigations.
• Knowledge of Navy Occupational Safety and Health and Fire Prevention standards.
• Experience supervising and developing loss‑prevention/safety teams.
• Ability to conduct operational reviews, audits and develop corrective action plans.
• Familiarity with physical‑security technologies and inventory control processes.
