Assistant Recreation Manager – Sports & Leisure

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Recreation Manager to support the Sports & Leisure department at our luxury beachfront resort in Bahrain. You will help ensure high‑quality guest experiences, supervise beach services, and contribute to team development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct candidate interviews to secure quality hires.
• Appraise, consult and develop Sports & Leisure team members.
• Maintain and oversee all department equipment.
• Supervise the beach services team, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of all areas.
• Verify completion of checklists and follow up on tasks.
• Patrol the beach area to guarantee guest satisfaction and address complaints.
• Ensure operating procedures align with hotel standards and guest expectations.
• Perform duty‑manager duties for the Sports & Leisure department as required.
• Maintain organized colleague files and accurate training records, providing at least six hours of training per employee each month.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management or a related field.
• Minimum five years experience in a luxury hotel environment.
• At least two years of management experience in a similar role.
• Previous experience working in the Middle East.
