Associate Director of Reserve

About the role

AX Coin, the first licensed stablecoin issuer regulated by the Central Bank of Bahrain, is looking for an Associate Director of Reserve. This senior, execution‑focused position will design, operate, and continuously improve the banking, settlement, liquidity and payment infrastructure that underpins the stablecoin issuance and payments ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Manage strategic relationships with custodian banks and partner financial institutions to ensure secure and efficient reserve custody.
• Ensure full compliance with CBB SIO Module Chapter 6, maintaining reserve asset ratings, maturities and currencies.
• Oversee liquidity management and conduct stress‑testing of reserve pools under extreme market conditions.
• Operate a yield‑bearing stablecoin model within legal and compliance frameworks.
• Coordinate monthly/quarterly Proof of Reserves audits and guarantee physical segregation of reserve assets.
• Lead design, integration and maintenance of fiat on‑ramp/off‑ramp channels and settlement accounts.
• Define fiat clearing and settlement mechanisms for minting and redemption processes.
• Establish three‑party reconciliation among fund flows, asset flows and on‑chain data.
• Support regional expansion of banking and payment capabilities across EMEA.
• Collaborate with compliance, product and operations teams to align payment processes.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of transaction banking, settlement and regulated payment flows.
• Proven experience managing relationships with custodian banks and financial institutions.
• Strong knowledge of liquidity management, stress testing and reserve compliance.
• Experience coordinating audits and reporting to central banking authorities.
• Ability to design and oversee fiat payment rail architecture.
