Environment Health & Safety Officer

About the role

Reckitt is seeking an Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Officer to lead and coordinate all EHS activities at its Bahrain manufacturing site. The role ensures compliance with global Reckitt EHS standards, local regulations, and site safety procedures while fostering a strong safety culture among all employees.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate EHS records and ensure timely reporting of performance metrics.
• Support factory management with analysis of EHS performance and focus areas.
• Deliver EHS training programs to site personnel.
• Drive leadership involvement in safety through a robust Behavior Safety program.
• Plan and execute internal audits and scheduled inspections.
• Enforce safety discipline according to the site’s disciplinary procedures.
• Ensure all legal and Reckitt EHS standards, including process safety, are fully implemented.
• Report, investigate, and close incidents promptly.
• Prepare for emergencies with risk assessments, mock drills, and emergency equipment management.
• Promote near‑miss reporting and conduct root‑cause analysis to implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating EHS activities in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of global EHS standards and local Bahrain regulations.
• Ability to analyze performance data and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and training delivery skills.
• Leadership capability to engage top management and the workforce in safety initiatives.
