Finance Director (Part‑time, Hybrid)

About the role

The Finance Director is a part‑time, hybrid position based in Manama, offering flexibility for some remote work. The role oversees financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for the chapter’s events, programs, and initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor financial plans, budgets, and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Prepare, review, and report financial statements to chapter leadership and stakeholders.
• Establish financial policies, internal controls, and compliance procedures.
• Support fundraising, sponsorship activities and provide analytical insights for strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with student officers, faculty advisors, and external partners to ensure transparent and sustainable financial practices.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in finance with experience in financial planning and budgeting.
• Ability to prepare, interpret, and manage financial statements and reporting in a timely manner.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess performance and optimise resource use.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field (or current enrolment in a relevant program).
• Attention to detail, integrity, and strong communication skills.
• Prior experience in student organisations, non‑profits or event budgeting is a plus.
