Food & Beverage Director

About the role

The Food & Beverage Director oversees the entire food and beverage operation across multiple sites on the installation, ensuring high‑quality service, financial performance, and compliance with all regulations. This hands‑on leader coordinates dining facilities, club operations, catering, vending, and entertainment programs.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and administer policies, programs, and goals for the F&B division, including full‑service dining, lounge bars, snack bars, mobile units, and branded concessions.
• Coordinate managers and supervise all phases of food service from menu planning to final delivery.
• Manage purchase requests, inventory, equipment, and supplies; conduct labor cost analysis and financial viability assessments.
• Provide food‑service support for special events, holidays, tournaments, and official functions.
• Serve as technical advisor for contract food‑service facilities, ensuring compliance with contract standards and inspections.
• Develop long‑range plans, prepare budgets, and monitor financial performance.
• Enforce security of funds, supplies, and equipment to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.
• Maintain equipment safety, conduct hazard inspections, and promote safety programs.
• Supervise training, set performance standards, and ensure all personnel hold current health certifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large, multi‑site food and beverage operations.
• Strong leadership and staff‑management abilities.
• Excellent financial acumen, including budgeting, cost analysis, and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of contract compliance, safety regulations, and health‑certification requirements.
• Ability to coordinate with installation leadership and support special events.
