French-speaking Accountant (International Entities)

About the role

This position is based in Bahrain and supports the accounting, reporting and compliance functions of an international organisation’s UK and Belgian entities. The role offers a high degree of autonomy, working closely with a small finance team and senior management across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of accounting and reporting for UK and Belgian entities
• Month‑end close and preparation of financial statements
• VAT returns, tax compliance and statutory reporting
• Balance‑sheet and inter‑company reconciliations
• Budgeting, forecasting support and variance analysis
• Liaising with auditors, tax advisors, banks and regulators
• Driving process improvements and strengthening financial controls

Required profile

• Fluent in French and English
• 4‑6 years of finance or accounting experience
• Previous hands‑on experience with UK and/or Belgian entities
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
