Health & Safety Officer – Production & Support (Bahrain)

About the role

The Health & Safety Officer will develop, implement and monitor occupational health and safety systems across our production facilities in Bahrain. You will lead a dedicated HSE team, ensure compliance with local legislation, and create a safe working environment for all employees.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain HSE policies, procedures, manuals and documentation.
• Identify workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures.
• Lead the HSE team, promote safety culture and provide training.
• Liaise with government authorities and ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain emergency response plans, audit local OHS compliance and manage hazardous waste procedures.
• Ensure proper installation of equipment and machinery and verify compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• Bahraini nationals with at least 3 years of HSE experience, or expatriates with 6 years or more.
• Strong knowledge of Bahrain HSE laws and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent health & safety management qualification.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and training abilities.
• Positive attitude, integrity and a strong sense of responsibility.
