Heavy Bus Driver – Passenger Transport Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Heavy Bus Driver to join our passenger transport team in Manama, Bahrain. The role involves safely operating large‑capacity buses equipped with wheelchair lifts and other accessibility features, ensuring a comfortable journey for all riders. You will work closely with dispatch and maintenance teams to maintain high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Complete daily rider count sheets, incident reports and required paperwork.
• Utilise trained safety skills to assist riders with disabilities or special needs.
• Operate wheelchair lifts, tie‑down systems, radios and other specialised equipment on HOP vehicles.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections as directed and maintain accurate documentation.
• Drive passenger transport vehicles, manage spacing between buses, stay on schedule and meet checkpoint requirements.
• Collaborate with dispatch, maintenance and operations support to ensure smooth HOP system operation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience driving heavy passenger vehicles.
• Good communication abilities.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Valid DOT medical card.
