Legal Specialist – Corporate & Commercial Law

About the role

Alzayani Investments is looking for a meticulous Legal Specialist to join its legal department in Manama. The role involves providing comprehensive legal support across multiple business units, ensuring compliance with Bahraini regulations and mitigating corporate risk.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and manage legal documents such as agreements, NDAs, MOUs, and board resolutions.
• Handle legal transactions with government authorities, including the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Land Registration Bureau, Traffic Directorate, and others.
• Maintain and renew company commercial registrations, ensuring no violations.
• Conduct legal research, gather evidence for cases, and draft legal opinions.
• Organise and maintain the legal department’s filing system and library.
• Track court cases, liaise with police stations, prosecution offices and relevant ministries.
• Translate and draft partner and board related documents as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a corporate legal department or reputable law firm, preferably with exposure to diverse industries.
• Strong knowledge of Bahraini corporate and commercial law.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Professional demeanor and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced drafting and negotiation skills in English.
• Proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous.
