Legal Specialist

About the role

Alzayani Investments is looking for a meticulous Legal Specialist to join its team in Manama, Bahrain. You will provide comprehensive legal support across multiple business units, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the legal department with case proceedings, document preparation, and serving legal documents.
• Handle legal transactions with government authorities such as the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Land Registration Bureau, Traffic Directorate, Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Notaries, and Ministry of Health.
• Maintain up‑to‑date commercial registrations (CRs) for the company and its divisions, preventing violations.
• Draft, review and translate agreements, NDAs, MOUs, resolutions, powers of attorney and other board‑related documents.
• Conduct legal research, gather evidence for trials, and produce legal opinions and studies.
• Organise and preserve the legal library and case files, summarising case numbers, dates, hearings and decisions.
• Follow up major court cases with police stations, the General Prosecution, and relevant ministries.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Director of Legal Affairs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a corporate legal department or reputable law firm, preferably across diverse industries.
• In‑depth knowledge of Bahraini corporate and commercial law.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Professionalism, integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
