Logistics Procurement Specialist – Supply Chain & Supplier Management

About the role

Huawei is looking for a Logistics Procurement Specialist to support its business units in Bahrain. The role involves managing end‑to‑end procurement activities for logistics‑related categories, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring compliance and quality throughout the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse logistics procurement market trends and develop a robust supplier resource pool.
• Design and implement category strategies aligned with project requirements and overall business plans.
• Build and maintain a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model and benchmark database to drive cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Manage supplier qualification, performance evaluation, and long‑term partnership development.
• Identify and mitigate procurement risks, ensuring timely and high‑quality project delivery.
• Prepare, monitor, and optimise logistics‑related contracts, handling cost changes and dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and logistics partners to secure supply resources.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics procurement or related supply‑chain functions.
• Strong knowledge of supplier management, qualification, and performance evaluation processes.
• Ability to develop category strategies, cost models, and benchmark analyses.
• Excellent negotiation and commercial contract management skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
