Merchant Acquiring Team Leader

About the role

Unity Infotech is seeking a dynamic Merchant Acquiring Team Leader to expand its merchant acquiring business across the Middle East. You will lead a team that drives merchant acquisition, product strategy, and revenue growth within the fintech and banking sector.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the merchant acquiring product strategy and growth initiatives.
• Identify, acquire, and onboard new merchants across target market segments.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline from lead generation to deal closure.
• Develop sales strategies to meet revenue targets and monitor product performance.
• Manage strategic merchant relationships and conduct regular business reviews.
• Lead commercial negotiations and coordinate contract execution with internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Operations, Legal, and Compliance teams to deliver effective merchant solutions.
• Track sales performance, prepare MIS reports, and present insights to senior management.
• Mentor and develop the merchant acquiring team to achieve business objectives.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in merchant acquiring, payments, or banking.
• Proven track record in merchant acquisition, sales, and business development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Banking, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, card acquiring, payment technologies, and card networks.
• Analytical, reporting, and problem‑solving capabilities.
