Prep Cook – Bahrain Bay Hotel

About the role

The Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay seeks a Prep Cook 1 to prepare food items according to guest orders, maintain quality standards, and support kitchen operations in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food items following recipe cards, production, portion, and presentation standards for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
• Complete mise en place and set up stations, ensuring timely preparation without excess waste.
• Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment such as deep fryers, broilers, stoves, steamers, food processors, mixers, slicers, ovens, steam tables, tilt kettles, waffle irons, and flat‑top grills.
• Date and rotate all food containers, monitor temperatures, and manage stock levels to prevent shortages.
• Control food waste, monitor food cost issues, and adhere to Four Seasons’ Category One and Two work rules.
• Collaborate professionally with co‑workers and supervisors to maintain a safe, sanitary work environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma, culinary school education, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in English.
• Minimum two years of culinary or related work experience.

Required skills

• Operation of deep fryers, broilers, stoves, steamers, and ovens.
• Food preparation and portion control.
• Food safety practices, including dating, rotating, and temperature monitoring.
