Senior Account Executive

About the role

We are seeking a highly detail‑oriented Senior Account Executive to join our Finance team in Bahrain. The role drives daily financial operations, ensuring the general ledger is accurate for VAT and regulatory reporting, and acts as the main operational liaison for auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate daily bookkeeping entries in line with accounting standards and banking regulations.
• Perform high‑volume reconciliations of digital bank accounts and internal suspense accounts.
• Support month‑end closing by preparing journal entries, accruals, and pre‑payments.
• Prepare, verify, and submit timely VAT returns to meet local tax authority requirements.
• Monitor evolving tax laws affecting digital financial services and implement necessary system updates.
• Manage auditor PBC schedules, provide supporting documentation, and resolve queries promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred.
• 4–6 years of hands‑on accounting experience, preferably in FinTech, digital banking, or financial services.
• Deep understanding of VAT regulations and upcoming tax laws in Bahrain.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to spot anomalies in high‑volume transaction data.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with auditors and cross‑functional teams.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, digital environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Index/Match).
• Experience with enterprise financial software; Oracle E‑Business Suite is a strong plus.
