Senior Accountant – F&B & Gaming Lounge Operations

About the role

We are looking for a senior accountant to lead the financial operations of our restaurant and gaming lounge business in Bahrain. The role involves managing the full accounting cycle, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing insights to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end accounting processes including accounts payable, general ledger, fixed assets and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with applicable standards.
• Oversee revenue and cash management across POS systems, payment gateways and bank deposits.
• Perform VAT input and output reconciliations, file returns and liaise with tax authorities.
• Coordinate payroll processing, staff accruals and end‑of‑service benefit calculations.
• Support cost control by reviewing COGS, inventory valuations and wastage reports.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow projection and profitability analysis by outlet and department.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and facilitate external audits.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in food‑and‑beverage or hospitality environments.
• Strong knowledge of Bahrain VAT regulations and payroll legislation.
• Proven ability to manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on cost optimisation.
