Senior AI Platform Lead – Private Equity

About the role

We are building a next‑generation private equity platform in Bahrain and need a senior AI leader to embed advanced analytics and generative AI across the investment lifecycle. The role is hands‑on, high‑visibility and works directly with the investment team and portfolio leadership to turn AI into tangible value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and own the AI strategy across deal sourcing, screening, diligence, investment committee, portfolio monitoring and exits.
• Design and deploy LLM‑driven tools, retrieval‑augmented generation pipelines and agentic workflows into daily investment processes and dashboards.
• Partner with operating partners and portfolio management teams to unlock AI‑driven value creation such as pricing, revenue analytics, cost efficiency and automation.
• Set AI governance standards covering data privacy, model risk, vendor selection and responsible AI guardrails in a regulated institutional environment.
• Drive firm‑wide adoption through training, playbooks, proof‑of‑concepts and LP‑facing narratives that highlight the firm’s digital edge.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of experience in AI, data or digital transformation, preferably in private‑equity‑backed businesses, top‑tier consulting or financial services.
• Deep technical fluency with LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows and modern data stacks (Python, SQL) and ability to prototype and guide build teams.
• Strong understanding of the private‑equity lifecycle, investment‑committee standards and value‑creation frameworks, able to translate AI impact into IRR and MOIC.
• Proven track record of deploying AI solutions in institutional or regulated environments with robust data‑privacy and model‑risk practices.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer/Data Science, Engineering or a related quantitative field; MBA is a plus.
