Senior Associate - Accounting & Tax

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Associate to lead accounting and tax services for a diverse client base in Bahrain. The role involves preparing tax returns, producing financial statements and supporting auditors while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage tax returns for clients across various industries.
• Draft income statements, balance sheets and other financial reports.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit engagements.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping and ensure records comply with legal standards.
• Develop budgets or advise clients on budget creation.
• Store and manage financial data while safeguarding client confidentiality.
• Review work of junior team members and provide guidance.
• Handle accounting processes, prepare MIS reports and VAT filings.
• Analyse financial information to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, tax or related services.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA or ACCA are a plus.
• Fluency in Arabic is desirable.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Experience preparing VAT filings and tax returns.
