Actuarial Manager

About the role

KPMG Bahrain is seeking an Actuarial Manager to join its Audit and Advisory practice. The role supports audit teams reviewing actuarial processes for insurance and pension clients and assists non‑audit clients with financial reporting under IFRS 17.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for auditing actuarial items recorded on insurance companies' financial statements.
• Assist clients with IFRS 17 implementation, new system roll‑outs, and validation of existing actuarial calculations.
• Conduct actuarial analysis to identify key issues and assess financial impact.
• Prepare audit documentation, review team work, and ensure risk documentation is completed on time.
• Develop junior staff through feedback and mentorship.
• Maintain relationships with middle‑ and senior‑level client contacts and contribute to business development activities.

Required profile

• Member of the Institute of Actuaries (e.g., UK, India) or equivalent qualification.
• Graduate or postgraduate with a strong background in mathematics or statistics.
• In‑depth understanding of IFRS 17 and actuarial reporting standards.
