Associate Factory Manager

About the role

The Associate Factory Manager will lead a large joinery manufacturing operation of over 700 workers, overseeing production of display cases, bespoke interiors and other joinery products. The role focuses on improving efficiency, quality and capacity while aligning the plant with European manufacturing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance existing processes, propose mechanisation and optimise CNC laser and machining operations.
• Plan and adjust production schedules, allocate work with shop‑floor supervisors and monitor workload across all sections.
• Lead new product development, selecting machines, tools, fixtures and inspection methods.
• Drive continuous improvement, Lean initiatives and raise health‑and‑safety, housekeeping and quality standards.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of senior management experience in a large furniture or joinery factory.
• Proven ability to lead a workforce of 700+ employees and manage staff selection, performance and training.
• Strong technical knowledge of woodworking, CNC machining, finishes, adhesives and raw material handling.
• Experience implementing Lean manufacturing and capacity management.

• AutoCAD competency.
• Experience with ERP systems.
