Cash Salesman – Six-Wheel Truck

About the role

Amalfi Foods W.L.L. is hiring a Cash Salesman in Bahrain who will sell and deliver its bakery products to retail outlets along an assigned route using a six-wheel truck. The post reports to the Sales Supervisor and covers sales, delivery, stock and cash handling.

Key responsibilities

• Visit assigned supermarkets, groceries and other retail outlets according to the daily route plan and sell products to meet sales, collection and outlet coverage targets.
• Identify new customers, introduce new products and communicate approved promotions.
• Ensure products are available, properly displayed and rotated by expiry date, and report customer feedback, complaints and competitor activity.
• Check product quantities, condition and expiry dates before accepting the daily load, deliver the correct goods and obtain customer acknowledgement.
• Load and unload safely, keep the truck clean and suitably stored, and record sales, returns, damaged products and stock movements.
• Reconcile vehicle stock daily and return unsold products per company procedure.
• Issue invoices and receipts, collect payments on approved terms, reconcile daily sales and cash, and report discrepancies immediately.
• Drive the six-wheel truck safely, complete daily vehicle checks and follow food hygiene and delivery procedures.

Required profile

• Valid Bahrain heavy vehicle driving licence suitable for a six-wheel truck.
• Previous experience driving six-wheel trucks.
• Preferably two years of cash sales or route sales experience in FMCG, food or bakery products.
• Good knowledge of Bahrain's roads and retail outlets.
• Physically capable of loading and unloading products safely.
• Honest, reliable and willing to work early shifts.

Required skills

• Strong selling, customer service and cash handling skills.
• Ability to use a handheld sales device or mobile sales application.
• Basic English; Arabic is an advantage.
