Civil Engineer – Infrastructure Projects (Bahrain)

About the role

KBR is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to support infrastructure projects under the Naval Support Activity (NSA) Bahrain contract. You will design, develop and oversee a wide range of civil works that enable mission‑critical operations for U.S. and coalition forces.

Key responsibilities

• Study, design, and specify transportation systems, bridges, drainage, underground utilities, and related infrastructure.
• Perform hydrology/hydraulics analysis, water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection, and raw water supply design.
• Conduct field investigations, inspections, and engineering calculations; prepare statements of work, plans, and specifications.
• Review construction drawings, provide on‑site support, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Lead a multidisciplinary Damage Assessment Team and coordinate inspections with subcontractors.
• Evaluate vendor quotations and negotiate technical issues with senior engineers and officials.

Required profile

• Professional civil engineering degree and relevant licensure.
• Proven experience in large‑scale infrastructure design and project delivery.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
