Civil Engineer – Infrastructure Projects (NSA Bahrain)

About the role

KBR is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to support critical infrastructure projects for the Naval Support Activity in Bahrain. You will design, develop and oversee a wide range of civil works that enable mission‑critical operations for U.S. and coalition forces.

Key responsibilities

• Study, design, specify and manage transportation systems, bridges, roads, rail, airport and seaport facilities.
• Develop drainage, underground utilities, hydrology/hydraulics, water treatment, distribution and wastewater systems.
• Perform geotechnical and tunnel design, as well as raw water supply and water resources planning.
• Conduct field investigations, inspections, engineering analysis, calculations and prepare statements of work, plans and specifications.
• Review drawings, provide construction support, resolve design and construction issues, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Lead a multidisciplinary Damage Assessment Team and oversee facility inspections performed by KBR and subcontractors.
• Evaluate vendor quotations and ensure projects meet quality, safety and efficiency requirements.

Required profile

• Professional civil engineering degree and relevant licensure.
• Proven experience in designing and managing complex infrastructure projects.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Decision‑making authority and experience negotiating with senior engineers and officials.
