Cook II – La Plage

About the role

The Cook II will work in the La Plage outlet of a luxury hotel, preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, presentation, and safety. This full‑time position supports the kitchen team in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, and storing fresh produce.
• Weigh, measure, mix, and cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Monitor food temperatures, test doneness, and ensure consistent quality.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen environment.
• Follow all company safety, security, and hygiene policies, reporting any issues promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related kitchen experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and carry objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
