Cyber Security Specialist – On-site in Bahrain

About the role

ZENDATA is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to act as the on‑site authority for a strategic engagement in Bahrain. You will combine deep technical knowledge with project‑management and stakeholder‑engagement skills to ensure resilient, compliant security operations in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate cybersecurity initiatives and operational activities on‑site.
• Deliver projects on scope, schedule, budget and quality, acting as the primary liaison between customer stakeholders, technical teams and executive management.
• Supervise SOC, monitoring, detection, incident‑response coordination and security‑control implementation.
• Align activities with ISO 27001/27002, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST SP 800‑53 and aviation/critical‑infrastructure guidance.
• Maintain risk registers, support audit preparation and ensure remediation tracking.
• Coordinate incident‑response actions, facilitate communication during security events and contribute to post‑incident reviews.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience managing cybersecurity projects in regulated, mission‑critical sectors.
• Strong ability to operate in sensitive environments where confidentiality, safety and regulatory compliance are paramount.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management and executive‑level reporting skills.
