Director of Insurance Advisory

About the role

An established regional advisory business is seeking an experienced Director of Insurance Advisory to lead growth, commercial performance, and delivery of its advisory practice across the GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the practice’s business strategy, P&L, and three‑year growth roadmap.
• Originate and convert high‑value advisory engagements with boards, CEOs, regulators and investors.
• Serve as executive sponsor for strategic projects, ensuring delivery quality, client satisfaction and commercial results.
• Develop and market offerings in insurance strategy, transformation, claims, regulatory advisory, digital, M&A and restructuring.
• Build, coach and retain a high‑performing advisory team and manage on‑shore/off‑shore delivery models.

Required profile

• 15+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership (Director or Executive Director) within a Big Four, management consultancy or specialist insurance advisory firm.
• Strong network and knowledge of GCC insurance markets and regulatory environment.
• Proven track record of business development, client relationship management and P&L responsibility.

Required skills

• Professional qualifications such as ACII, FCII, CPCU, actuarial credentials, CFA, CPA/CA, CISA or PMP.
• Deep expertise in insurance strategy, transformation, claims, regulatory and digital advisory.
