Electrical Foreman

About the role

The Electrical Foreman will lead daily electrical installation, maintenance and construction activities on site, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently and in line with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards. This position coordinates electricians, subcontractors, materials and equipment to keep the project on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all on‑site electrical works, including installation, testing, wiring, cable routing, lighting, power distribution and panel connections.
• Allocate tasks to electricians, monitor progress and inspect workmanship against drawings and standards.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, single‑line diagrams, method statements and project requirements.
• Coordinate resources – manpower, tools, materials, cables and components – and report any shortages or constraints.
• Liaise with civil, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and other trades to ensure proper sequencing of work.
• Track project progress, flag potential delays or technical issues and communicate them to management.
• Oversee testing, inspection, commissioning and troubleshooting, ensuring accurate documentation before energisation.
• Enforce health and safety procedures, identify hazards and address unsafe conditions immediately.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising electrical installation and maintenance on construction sites.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and single‑line diagrams.
• Good knowledge of applicable electrical standards and safety regulations.
• Effective communication with engineers, project managers, subcontractors and inspectors.
