English Language Teacher

About the role

Bangladesh School Bahrain is seeking a full‑time, on‑site English Language Teacher for its Manama campus. You will deliver engaging English lessons that meet the Bangladesh National Curriculum and/or Cambridge IGCSE standards, fostering strong reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives.
• Prepare teaching materials and assess student progress through assignments and exams.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to learners across relevant grade levels.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create an inclusive learning environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and co‑curricular activities.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance.

Required profile

• Relevant bachelor’s degree in English, Education or a teaching certification.
• Experience teaching in school settings, preferably with Bangladeshi (Dhaka Board) or Cambridge IGCSE curricula.
• Strong lesson‑planning, curriculum‑alignment and assessment design abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity.
• Demonstrated classroom‑management capabilities and commitment to student wellbeing.
