Field Operator – Industrial Plant Operations

About the role

The Field Operator is responsible for executing shutdowns, startups, and daily operations of industrial plant equipment, ensuring safe and efficient performance while monitoring plant parameters and reporting abnormalities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform shutdown and startup operations according to procedures and supervisor guidance.
• Pressurize and de‑pressurize equipment and pipelines as required.
• Monitor plant parameters, report abnormalities, and coordinate corrective actions with the control room.
• Patrol the plant area each shift, inspect equipment, and maintain operational logs.
• Act as Area Authority for the PTW system, oversee isolation activities, and ensure proper permits and safety documentation.
• Check chemical and consumable inventories, support maintenance activities, and compile production reports.

Required profile

• Technical degree or equivalent with at least 4 years of experience in industrial processes, mechanical, chemical or petroleum environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and operate independently or within a team.
• Willingness to work in remote, hot and humid site conditions with long hours.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Experience using CMMS platforms such as SAP, Maximo or Oracle.
• Basic PC skills for data entry and reporting.
