Firefighter Lead / Crew Chief

About the role

V2X is seeking an experienced Firefighter Lead/Crew Chief to join its global safety team. The role involves protecting life and property through fire‑fighting, rescue operations, and leadership of fire crews in high‑risk environments.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to fire protection dispatch calls, treating injuries and minimizing loss of life and property.
• Conduct structural, crash, and confined‑space rescue procedures.
• Operate fire apparatus and related equipment, including cleaning, testing, and vehicle maintenance.
• Complete and submit NFIRS fire protection response reports within required timelines.
• Participate in department fire‑training programs and mentor junior firefighters.
• Work on Bahraini and U.S. holidays as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of firefighting experience with prior crew‑chief or supervisory duties.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI security clearance.
• Medical certification to perform the duties.
• Willingness to work in hazardous, stressful conditions, including overtime and long hours.

Required skills

• Firefighter I & II certifications.
• CPR (AHA or Red Cross).
• Hazmat Awareness/Operations and Hazmat Incident Commander.
• NREMT‑Basic.
• Fire Officer I, Fire Inspector I, Fire Instructor I.
• Tender Operator and ARFF Operator.
• Confined Space Rescue certification.
• NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800.
• Public Safety Tele‑communicator I & II.
