Furniture & Fit-Out Design Engineer

About the role

BETO Furniture is seeking a Furniture & Fit-Out Design Engineer to turn design concepts into precise production drawings and CNC‑ready files. You will work closely with production and installation teams to ensure high‑quality execution from design through to on‑site fit‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop, production, and as‑built drawings for custom furniture and interior fit‑out projects.
• Generate CNC‑ready drawings, nesting layouts, cutting lists and optimise material utilisation.
• Coordinate with CNC machine operators and production teams to guarantee accurate fabrication.
• Develop practical, efficient technical solutions that are manufacturable.
• Produce material take‑offs (BOQs) and other production documentation.
• Select appropriate materials, hardware and finishes based on project requirements.
• Review project drawings, identify technical issues early and resolve them during manufacturing and installation.
• Conduct site measurements when required and update drawings accordingly.
• Support value‑engineering initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in custom furniture manufacturing and interior fit‑out.
• Strong background in joinery, woodworking production and CNC file preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.

• AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Cabinet Vision, AlphaCAM, WoodWOP, SketchUp, SolidWorks (preferred)
• CNC routing, nesting optimisation and machining strategy knowledge
• Production workflow management for woodworking
