Head of Government Affairs

About the role

Keeta is seeking a senior leader to define and execute its government affairs strategy across multiple growth markets. You will shape policy engagement, manage regulatory risk, and support sustainable business expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a country‑wide government affairs strategy aligned with business priorities.
• Identify regulatory risks and opportunities to enable growth.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with government authorities, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.
• Represent Keeta in industry associations, public forums, and policy discussions.
• Monitor legislative developments and translate them into clear business implications.
• Advocate for policies that foster innovation while mitigating operational risks.
• Partner with Legal, Communications, Operations and other teams to align government engagement with company objectives.
• Provide strategic regulatory guidance for new initiatives, market developments, and crisis situations.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in Government Affairs, Public Policy, Regulatory Affairs or related fields.
• Deep understanding of local political, regulatory and legislative processes.
• Established relationships with relevant government institutions and policymakers.
• Experience in technology, e‑commerce, fintech, telecom or other fast‑growing digital sectors.
• Strong analytical ability to translate complex regulations into actionable business recommendations.
• Experience building or scaling Government Affairs functions in high‑growth organisations.
• Knowledge of digital economy regulation, data privacy or emerging technology policy is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
