The Junior Sous Chef (Head Baker) leads bakery operations for a Marriott Westin property in Manama, ensuring high‑quality baked goods and seamless service. This full‑time position blends culinary creativity with staff leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily bakery production, recipe development, and quality control.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and waste reduction.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate bakery staff.
• Assist management with hiring, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, security, and appearance standards.
• Address guest service needs and maintain professional communication.
• Perform physical duties such as lifting up to 25 lb, standing for long periods, and reaching overhead.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• 4‑6 years of bakery or related culinary experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
