Kitchen & Laundry Technician

About the role

The Engineering/Maintenance team at a stylish Bahrain hotel is looking for a reliable Kitchen & Laundry Technician. You will ensure that all commercial kitchen and laundry equipment operates safely and efficiently, supporting the hotel’s high‑standard guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain commercial hot kitchen equipment such as combi ovens, cooking ranges, deep fryers, grills and salamanders.
• Service refrigeration units including walk‑in chillers, freezers and ice machines.
• Maintain dishwashing machines and other small kitchen appliances.
• Troubleshoot and maintain commercial washers, extractors, ironers and folding machines.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) according to schedule and keep accurate service records.
• Identify potential equipment failures and recommend corrective actions while complying with safety standards.

Required profile

• Diploma, Technical Certificate or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical or Refrigeration Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience maintaining commercial kitchen and laundry equipment, preferably in hotels or large facilities.
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, refrigeration and gas‑operated equipment.
• Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams and equipment schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities, capable of working independently or in a team.
