About the role
The Lead Site Mechanic directs all aircraft, subsystem, and support‑equipment operations at the site. This position oversees launch and recovery, parts supply, and ensures compliance with FAA and DoD requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and maintain aircraft, subsystems, and support equipment.
- Manage launch, recovery, and on‑site aircraft handling.
- Supply and control Contractor Owned and Maintained Parts (COMP) inventory.
- Coordinate repair and overhaul of repairable spares at FAA‑certified stations.
- Oversee aircraft painting, engine repair, and overhaul activities.
- Serve as the on‑site liaison with government representatives.
Required profile
- 5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience.
- 3+ years maintaining King Air or 1900 Airliner series, including complex modifications.
- At least 1 year leading a similar site‑level effort.
- Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
- Ability to direct a workforce in maintenance, repair, and modification tasks.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- High School Diploma or GED minimum.

What we offer
- Salary range $90,000 – $150,000 per year.
- Housing allowance and hardship pay where space permits.
