Maintenance Technician – Electromechanical Baggage Handling Systems

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to carry out electromechanical maintenance on an airport baggage handling system (BHS). The role focuses on daily preventive and corrective work on both minor and major equipment, ensuring reliable operation and swift resolution of faults.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electro‑mechanical BHS equipment.
• Execute daily inspections, fault finding, and equipment condition monitoring.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical errors in the automated baggage handling system.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed according to the service contract schedule.
• Control baggage flow and correct flow disturbances promptly.
• Transfer knowledge to shift teams and propose improvement ideas.

Required profile

• Middle‑level vocational or technical education with an electromechanical specialization.
• Approximately 10 years of overall electromechanical experience, including at least 4 years on BHS equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electromechanical schematics and drawings.
• Strong English communication skills (mid to high level).
• Capacity to work under pressure and adapt to shift hand‑overs.
