Occupational Therapist

About the role

Our client, a leading healthcare provider in Bahrain, is looking for a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered rehabilitation services. The role involves assessing patients, creating individualized treatment plans, and supporting their journey toward greater independence.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for patients with physical, neurological, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions.
• Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate individualized treatment plans aligned with each patient’s rehabilitation goals.
• Deliver evidence‑based therapeutic interventions to improve functional independence, ADLs, mobility, and cognitive function.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient‑centered care.
• Support discharge planning through home assessments, equipment recommendations, environmental modifications, and caregiver education.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in line with hospital policies.
• Adhere to patient safety, infection control, and ethical clinical practice standards.
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitation programs and adaptive techniques.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, departmental meetings, and continuing professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
• Valid NHRA license or eligibility to obtain one in Bahrain.
• Minimum 6–8 years post‑qualification clinical experience.
• Experience in neurological rehabilitation, geriatric care, complex medical rehabilitation, long‑term care, or inpatient rehabilitation is highly preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.
